A huge THANK YOU goes out to all the people who helped out with the preparations of the event and made the whole thing happen.
On behalf of the Irish Ubuntu Community, the organizer of the Software Freedom Day in Dublin, I would like to thank Elevate Learning for their support and for sponsoring the auditorium, all the speakers and participants: Camara, ILUG, IFSO, Computer Education Society of Ireland, OpenStreetMap, Ruby Ireland.
The Software Freedom Day 2008 in Dublin was the first event organized by ubuntu-ie and we would be grateful for your feedback and any suggestions for improvements for future events. To do so, please leave a comment.

On behalf of IFSO (and personally, as one of the speakers) I'd like to thank the organisers of the events. We agree that it was a great day, we were happy to meet so many people and have a chance to talk with them. So thanks to everyone who worked on the preparation and organisation!
GDS: Glad you enjoyed the day. It was what we aimed for, an enjoyable relaxing and informative day. A lot of people met each other for the 1st time who may have had online interaction. Others who were curious got to ask questions. Thanks for talking and taking part in the day.

This was a great event and great to meet such an enthusiastic bunch of speakers.
I was hoping to keep up contact by joining some of the monthlly meetings that you mentioned that take place in the long stone pub. However, I did not take a note of the day and time where you meet. Do you know where I could find this out?

Hey Brian,
the monthly ILUG meetings Pint of the Day (PotD) take place every first Thursday of the month at the Longstone pub on Townsend Street at 7pm.
you know better than to trust non-free software
Better late than never, but I had a good day. Some of the talks were quite good. Met some cool people etc..
